Silhouettes, fire, and stars, O MY!

Went out to my friend Damon's pond last night to get some new desktop background shots. Hooray for fire!

Sarah and Matthew Jacobsen (5 of 5) The Portraits

It could not have been a more beautiful day out at Country Pines. It was 70 degrees all day, the wind stopped right around the wedding time, and we had a gorgeous Nebraska sunset. To Sarah and Matt, thank you so much for letting us join in your special day. As I have said before, my favorite weddings are outdoors, and this one has been the best. Congrats to Sarah and Matt, and have fun in Mexico!

Sarah and Matthew Jacobsen (2 of 5) Preparations

The day started off at Salon K, a salon where I have shot several wedding preparations at. They have painted the walls an awesome blue now, instead of the maroon. Hooray for nice colors!

Here is the owner of Country Pines, finishing up the food prep. The food was beyond amazing, and I was tempted to take a nap after an awesome meal.

Here is Matt seeing Sarah for the first time in her wedding dress. I'm a fan of great window light and awesome wood attics.

Wedding time!

Clay and I went out to Country Pines north of Lincoln to do some test shots and scouting for the wedding season opener this weekend. Needless to say, we are crazy excited about it. An outdoor wedding with temps in the 70s? Yes please. Join us back here this weekend for a veritable slew of shots from Sarah and Mathew's happy day.

Grillin!

Friends Angela and Jer were kind enough to host a grill out at their place this last weekend. First up is Dusty sitting in nice light.

Shadow is just chilling in the window, staring at everyone outside.

And this beast is the massive steak I ate. Hooray for meat!

Backgrounds and cars, O my!

For those of you with a more mechanical nature, here are some shots of the decals from some very old and very awesome cars on my parents' farm.

Good Friday, Better Art

Friend and all-star editorial cartoonist Neal Obermeyer hosted a gallery of his work last weekend in Lincoln. I've known Neal since my early days at the Daily Nebraskan, and his work has always been both thought provoking and funny. To check out some of his work, go to nealo.com
